ESL Summer Session, Lower Elementary age students (grades 1-3)

Student population – ESL entering 2nd  and 3rd  graders from LPCS and EDCS
Location – Lindsley Park Community School
Dates – Wed, June 11th  – Fri, July 8th
Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Qualifications – Montessori elementary training preferred; other credentialed and experienced teachers of K-3 grades also considered. The development of reading and mathematical skills are emphasized in this course. Please present a short ‘concept plan’ (not a detailed lesson plan) of how you would address these needs.

Student population – ESL entering Kindergartners and 1st graders from LPCS and EDCS
Location – Lindsley Park Community School
Dates – Wed, June 11th – Wed, July 8th
Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Qualifications – Montessori primary training strongly preferred; other credentialed and experienced teachers of K-3 grades also considered. State guidelines specify that the summer program must address the ‘cognitive, academic, linguistic and cultural needs’ of our student population learning English as a second language. Please present a short ‘concept plan’ (not a detailed lesson plan) of how you would address these needs.

Reading Specialists: Summer School

Reading Specialists:  Summer School Teaching Positions at Lindsley Park Community School

Position I:  Small group (10-12 students) reading intensive for next year’s LPCS and EDCS second and third grade students who have been identified as needing assistance in reading fluency/vocabulary/comprehension.
Dates:  Wed, June 11th through Tuesday, July 8th.
Days and Hours:  Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
