Part-Time Fatherhood Initiative Specialist

Reports To: Lumin Bachman Lake Community School and Home Visiting

School/Program:  Lumin Education – All Campuses

Primary Work Site: Lumin BLCS/Lumin EDCS

Hours/Status:  Part-Time, 10 hours per week, 250-day year

Effective Date:  June 2020

Responsibilities:

•  Lead and coordinate the program and its activities
• Plan, organize and facilitate there Fatherhood meetings per week at 1 to 1.5 hours in length and 2 workshops per year – 4 weeks of 2 hour/weekly sessions
• Follow the approved curriculum for the Fatherhood Initiative
• Conduct pre and post-tests for all participants of the Fatherhood Initiative
• Arrange speakers for special topics
• Recruit fathers across all campuses
• Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures
• Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions following the purchasing
• Help build positive relations within the Fatherhood
• Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda
• Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations )
• Prepare paperwork and order material
• Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
• Support growth and program development
• Lead three weekly Fatherhood Initiative meetings in both English and Spanish
• Incorporate Communication for Couples and Love & Logic workshops once a year at each site for the Fatherhood Initiative

Requirements:

•  Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Ability to lead and inspire fathers
• Proven experience working with families
• Ability to facilitate meetings
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary groups of people
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
